newbie here. Ok, I want to get an athlon xp but not sure what mother board to get. I will be doing solid modeling programs and photoshop stuff. also plan on geting a video capture card, was thinking ati all in wonder. i've had cheap ones before and was pissed i wasted my money. maybe overclock it a little if i got bored. i used to follow this stuff pretty close but been outta the seeen for sometime now. In my current system I already have two harddrives, video card, sound card, modem, network card. Thanks

Look at the other bazillion threads for mobos :).
I can whole-heartedly recommend a Radeon 8500, 9200 or 9600 AIW (for gaming, get the Pro or XT version--not sure if the XT one is out yet).

damn, so many threads lately I could just recommend the Soltek SL-75FRN2-L in all of them. I have this board with an XP2500+ Barton.
I have this board for the last 6 months or so.. absolutely rules!
it can be had for like $69 USD around there.. it's fantastic.. stable, fast, tweakable... couldn't ask for anything better.. I'm extremely pleased with it.

Abit NF7-s seems to be 1 of the highest recommended, especially if you wanna overclock, that is why I just got 1 and love it. NF7-s ~ $90 and 2500+ barton retail ~ 80, so that is only $170.
