Upgrade time, anything I missed?

So I am about to order my new system, if anyone has any suggestions on what I should change let me know.

Firstly, my current system:

Athlon X2 6000+
Gigabyte mobo
2gb DDR2
Geforce GTX 260
Antec 550w PSU
2x 320gb Seagates in RAID 0 for system drive
2tb Storage drive

Lately I have noticed my pc really not coping with modern games. I recently took my 23" LCD to work and replaced it at home with a 32" HD tv, so any game I play I want to use the TV's native 1920x1080 res, something the GTX 260 can't quite deal with.

With Battlefield 3 looking so freaking awesome, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, RAGE, Portal 2 etc etc all coming over the next 12 months I decided I would just go ahead and get that new PC I have been wanting for the last few months.

So, with the mindset of this PC needing to see me through for the next 2-3 years, I am considering the following:

Intel i7 2600K
MSI P67A-GD65 Mobo
2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws F3 12800
2x MSI Radeon 6950 Twin Frozr II
120gb Vertex 3 for OS/Apps (I'll carry over my current HDD's for storage)
Seasonic X-850 PSU

I curently have an Antec P180 but to be honest I don't like working in it, there is very little room behind the PSU with the lower HDD cage in place and with the upper HDD cage in place it is a nightmare for longer graphics cards.

So, having said that, I was thinking of:
Fractal Design Define R3
I am aware of the poor cooling performance of this case in it's standard trim so was going to add in 3x Noctua 140mm fans.

So there it is. If you would do it differently, what would you change?

What is your budget?
Where will you be buying your parts from?

If you go with a 2500k, you can save ~ 25$ on the CPU purchase and buy it from MicroCenter, if you have a store nearby.

CPU = Good choice, but the 2500K @ 224$ Free shipping will be just as good for gaming and will save you some cash to put towards something else.
Mobo = haven't read up on the boards
RAM = Same kit 99$ free shipping (don't know where you are shopping from)
GPU = ,flash the bios to a 6970
SSD = Nice
PSU = Fantastic PSU series. While some will argue that it's overkill, it is probably the sweet spot for dual GPU gaming.
While not a Gold rated PSU, the Corsair HX850 @ 155 + 6$ shipping
is a fantastic performing PSU as well.

I am buying from PCcasegear.com.au
It's kind of our Australian equivlent to newegg, so they have pretty competitive prices.

I should clarify, I have quite alot of experience building systems, the reason I am asking for you guys to run your eyes over my upgrade list is due to the fact that I have been out of the loop for a couple of years.

Took me alot of reading to get my head around AMD (Still think of them as ATI) and their odd graphics card naming structure. And the X58 platform supports triple channel DDR3 but not sandy bridge? What now?

In other words, have I specced anything on that list that is outright incompatible with another part? I have read reviews on all the parts as an individual thing but as it is with computers you sometimes get odd mismatches that don't work well together.

Last time I built a PC AMD CPU's were king, and they didn't make GPU's lol.

Seems good to me for a high-end rig. Here's a few comments:
- CFX is probably overkill for 1080P. A Since 6950 2GB will be sufficient
- The 2600K is unnecessary for gaming, get the 2500K instead
- The X-850 is probably quite high. If an XFX 750W is available, I'd get that instead. It's still a Seasonic under the hood
- The R3 is pretty nice, but it's not really tuned for max airflow. You might want to look at the Cooler Master HAF series
