You're probably a year away. I don't see until mid to late 2011 for any LTE 4G phones coming out.

Only MetroPCS has LTE out and only in Las Vegas. Verizon by the end of next year is supposed to have LTE in every NFL city but we won't know how that will go until next year.

Verizon's CEO said today during his CTIA keynote that VZW will be announcing a number of LTE phones and tablets at CES 2011 (which is January), with a network rollout in 38 markets during the first half of 2011. Beyond that, nothing is really known.

Um, those cities are suppose to turn on at the end of this year. I heard something about November, but it may be later.


I'm waiting until next year to upgrade and get a 4g phone. Conveniently one of the cities on the new map is quite close to home. I just hope there are some good choices, been quite happy with the Droid so far.

Do you need 4G? If not I wouldn't bother waiting. I just got a Fascinate and its plenty fast on 3G. Short of streaming HD content or tethering I don't see how it will improve my phone experience that much.
