I bought my whole setup last fall of '09 and am in need for some upgrades. it boots slowly because I have XP, as well as many other things on an old small HD. I would like a new vid card as well as a SSD to boot just my OS, so any suggestions for what type of card or ssd that you guys prefer and why would be awesome. I most likely would try to overclock the card a little

After spending anywhere from 300-maybe 500 getting new parts I would like to be able to boot up quicker, load programs faster and sooner right after booting, and run DX11 with newer games coming out fairly well.

Setup: Intel core 2 quad q8400 at 2.66ghz/ xfx 750l mb/ Corsair DDR2 2048MB X2/ nvidia GTX 260/ 800watt power supply
Using a 22" LG playing games at 1920/1080

If you are planning on sticking with your board and CPU for a while, do yourself a favor and add some memory. DDR2 isn't the cheapest, but it still isn't too bad.

Keeps you under your $500 mark, and makes effective use of the SSD by getting a more capable OS.
