Is there anyway you can upgrade the screen resolution? My mom's laptop has max res. of 1024x768, and she wants it a little smaller.
 
Sorry, you'd have to buy a new screen, and that part that interfaces with the video card. Not cheap. In fact, it may be cheaper/easier to buy a new laptop and sell the current one.
