So my rig in the Sig recently went down due to a faulty PSU. Which ended up burning out an LED in the motherboard.

The Motherboard appears to be working fine (I know I'm crazy) the PSU has been RMA'd and I've switched to a Seasonic X650.

I've been getting crashes frequently from perhaps Windows 7 and my 5870 fighitng. Seems to be related to that area. Drivers are clean etc. I can't help but think it's related to my burnt motherboard, as I cant remeber if it was crashing like that before the PSU crash.

My Dilemma is actually this. Do I want to ebay my stuff and switch to a totally different socket; OR just replace my motherboard with an 80 dollar board.

For 160 I can replace the board to a p43 AND get 8gbs of DDR3....and keep the same socket..sell of my old RAM for ~70 bucks, and maybe my board for 40 (Disclosing the burn).

I could upgrade to the i7 for a little more work ebaying components for a modest cost...

Thoughts?

I would probably get a Sandy Bridge i5 next week. Ebay the other stuff if you want, but you're probably only going to get $20 (at the most) for a busted mobo and that DDR2 isn't worth much either.
