Upgrade question

In addition to building a new Tbird 1.4Ghz system, I want to upgrade my k6II-500 to a Duron relatively cheap. I'd prefer to just buy a new mobo and CPU. My question is, what mobo would be good for a Duron 850 and 384MB of pc100 memory? I would also like it to be scalable so that I can get a better Duron in a year or so. Thanks.

I've been using a motherboard from Jetway for about a year now. The system has a Duron 800 and 768 PC133. It is also on 24/7.
I've yet to run into any problems, and installation was easy.

The mobo runs ~$100 - $130
Your Duron 850 is around $40 - 50, I think.

Also, the mobo has the 200MHz FSB and is good for AMD CPUs through the Thunderbird 1.4GHz.
Their website has more info, and includes a chart of which processors will run on the board.

Good Luck!
