Upgrade Question...

I was thinking of the Athlon 64 3000 with the MSI K8N NEO Platinum (~$300).

I have 2 512 MB DDR PC2100 and a 256 DDR 2700 currently. Will these modules work with the above processor/motherboard combo? If they will work, will performance be greatly affected? Or do I need to purchase DDR PC 3200 RAM?

I also need to get a need video card, as my GeForce 4 4200 just died today.

It sounds to me like you need to hit the FS/FT forum and swap the PC2100 stuff for PC3200 stuff, and pawn off your PC2700 stuff. PC2100 vs. PC3200 is a very serious performance difference; 66% or so. The A64 will run with PC2100 memory, but you'll need to set a divider in your BIOS to do so properly.
