Upgrade question on HP-Compaq C300 series

Hi, folks!

I got a heck of a deal last Black Friday at Circuit City on the HP-Compaq C303NR...

Trouble is, the board uses the Intel 940GML chipset, designed for the Celeron M alone. No Core2 support. The C300 series variant with the C2D uses a different chipset, the 945GM/GL.

Original CPU = Celeron 420 (Yonah-1024 core 533FSB S478)

Does anyone know whether any of these might work?

Celeron M 530 2.0GHz 533FSB
Pentium T2060/T2080/T2130 533FSB "Pentium Dual Core"

i have a c500 that has 945gm and i am trying to see if i can upgrade to coreduo/core2duo, let me know if you find any information

I did some checking, i think you can go upto a core duo t2250
