Hi guys!
Ok, I've been itching for more power in my computer lately. All games run perfect, but I think I'd like some more CPU horsepower.
System Specs:
P3 933@1050Mhz(150FSB)
128megs Mushkin PC133 Rev 2
Asus CUSL2 MoBo
GeForce2 GTS 32megs
45gig IBM 75GXP
blah blah..
Anyway, I was eyeing the Abit VP6 a few days ago and it occured to me that with Intel's price cuts, I could pick up another 933 and the VP6 while selling off my CUSL2 and not be breaking the piggy bank. I would get another 128meg stick of Mushkin and have to install Win2K for SMP. Hopefully I could have both them running at 1050Mhz at 150Mhz FSB. This would give alot of HP for Seti@Home, FlaskMPEG(is this SMP threaded?), and some SMP games.
What do you think guys? This sound like a decent idea?
Or should I just wait until this summer until the Palomino is out and in full production, and maybe even get a dual Athlon system that should be out by then(although its been taking forever).
Tell me your opinions guys!
