Upgrade Path, Windows XP................

Hello all,

I am considering upgrading from Windows 98 on my two desktop PCs and don't know what would be my best bet with regards to XP.....

One is my personal PC and the other is my Fiancee's...as I said both are running 98 now, but I don't know if I should go with XP Home Full, XP home upgrade, or just XP Pro......

Normally I would go with just the Upgrade, but it is getting ridiculous.....I have a Full version of 95 and then the upgrade to 98 and then 98se, which means I need all three cds when I reblast a system, would I need all three if I went with the home upgrade? also can you clean install from the home upgrade CD?

Or would I be better off getting a full Home OEM version from somewhere? and can you upgrade from a full home CD or do I have to do a clean install?

I really don't think neither she nor I will need the features of XP Professional but if everyone here says that it the way to go then it will be considered.....

We just want to upgrade, be legit, and not break the bank on Software....

Thanks.

Thanks Andi, but will an upgrade CD work with Win XP as I only have the upgrade cds for 98 and 98se.....as the only true "full" version that I have is a 95 disc, the Faq didn't seem clear on that aspect, thanks.
