First my current specs:
AMD Barton 2500+ OC'd @ 2.2 GHz
EpoX 8RDA+
512MB RAM DDR400
ATI Radeon 9600Pro OC'd @ 460/320
So I'm contemplating the following two scenarios: (1) Upgrading my current rig or (2) Waiting to save and buy a completely new one.
(1) My thoughts were to upgrade to a 6600GT AGP, not sure whether the 128MB or 256MB version (~$80 difference). I'd also get a stick of some 512MB RAM to bring me upto a full gig (although by doing this I'd lose my dual read, but meh).
(2) Save up and wait to buy a completely new system because (1) wouldn't really provide me with a performance boost for a long enough period of time to justify doing it.
What do you think?
