Back in August, I bought a Radeon 4500 for my new system - I was trying to stay away from the GeForce3 since I knew they'd come out with something superior soon after the original....anyway, I loved the 4500, it is very smooth and the graphics rock, but now I read these reports about the new radeon 8500 totally blowing away the 4500 and even the new GeForce3.....should I upgrade now even though I spent almost 200 on the Radeon 4500 two months ago, or should I wait until the GeForce3 or Radeon 8500 start to get cheaper? Which would you all suggest, Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3?

With the current Radeon drivers the GF3 beats the Radeon! It will take better drivers from Ati to beat Nvidia.
If your games run fine for you now I would wait and see which api the game makers choose to implement and then pick a card!
Plus the prices will be lower then.

Thanks for the advice. I've been reading some reviews that say the same thing, and I think I will wait for a while sine the radeon 64DDR is doing it for me right now.... :)

Ya this seems ta be a real wait and see time when it comes ta Video cards! If you're happy with the gaming perfomance of your card right now then it's best ta wait cause the new cards drop so quickly after they've been released, course your old card gets worth less everyday for resale as well LOL, ya gotta love the computer upgrade mania dontcha:D!
