Upgrade? Or be content with what I have?

I have a shuttle system w/ athlon 2500, 512 MB Ram, Radeon 9600 SE, 160 GB internal, 200 gb external, dvd burner, etc. I was thinking about selling it and using the finds toward an upgrade, but figured to only geta round $400 for all of it, including monitor after shipping.

While this would allow me to adda bout $200 of my own and buy a basic Dell w/ p4 3 Ghz and probably get a 19" monitor in that deal, would I be better served to put $200 in upgrades to the shuttle? I don't even know upgrade what would be worth the $200.

I had o/c'd the chip, and it took it just fine, but the temps were too much to mess with, so it's back down to stock speeds. I don't game, I do a tad bit of video encoding, mostly just listen to music and surf.

??

If you play games, that video card has to go. Maybe just an upgrade of the video card and memory unless you play a lot of games, get a new PC.

for under $150 you could get a new 754 board and get a sempron processor. If thats something you might want to do let me know and ill make some recomendations. What makes you want to upgrade?

To put in my shuttle? Now that might be an idea, I'll see if I can just upgrade the board and chip. I just want more speed...typical. I'd like to go with a 939, doesn't that have the most heardroom as far as upgrading?

EDIT: Not happening, from what I read, you can't upgrade the mb in a shuttle...
