Upgrade options...is it worth it?

Newegg has a x1950GT 256MB card with a promo code for 100 bucks shipped, right now I have a 6800GS. I know it would be an improvement, but would it be a HUGE upgrade or just a decent upgrade? System is an AMD Athlon64 +3000 with a mild OC to 3.1Ghz. Budget currently allow for much in the way of upgrades right now, but 100 bucks seems awful cheap for this card.

If you have PCI-E I would save your money and wait until the Geforce 9000s start rolling out in November then snag a 8800gts for cheap.

That's my plan. My 6800 GS has served me well, but it's time for a replacement.
