gpu: amd radeon hd 6670 ddr3 1gb
cpu: amd athlon II x2 3.5ghz
motherboard: N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX (Alvorix)
harddrive: 7200rpm hitachi harddrive
ram: 4gb PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333) in single channel..

somethings im looking into for upgrading are the motherboard + cpu, and gpu.. but i cant decide if i wanna upgrade either of them now or wait later for something special that could come out in the future.

the gpu im looking to buy is a hd 6850, and the cpu im looking at is that six core FX processor clocked at 3.3ghz which people claim can be overclocked to like 4.5ghz, and a nice asus or gigabyte motherboard with two pci-e slots for a future crossfire i might do with a second 6850.

so what do you guys think i should do? does anyone know if theres some nice hardware coming up under the 200 dollar range for amd products..? :awe:

quad core games give me the most trouble, such as gta 4, skyrim, and saints row the third. those games all run at around 25-45fps on around medium settings.

and even some old games such as gtasa, on the multiplayer mod multi theft auto (MTASA).. whenever shadows are on or a ton of smoke clouds come close to my view the game stutters real bad.

and even with them off it just jumps around 40-80fps.. im guessing it does this because of the mass amount of cars spawned around the SA map and the buildings that have been added around the map, and the scripts that are used for the server..

Id like to achieve 60fps+ while having the game completely maxed on a pretty large majority of the games out currently, and in the next couple years.
one game im really thinking about having to upgrade is gta 5.. that game just seems like it would run slow on my system...

so what should i do? just wait or upgrade now?
