I've had a few quirky problems with my MSI board and have decided to swap it out, probably for an ASUS A7V266-C, E, or A7V333, but I want to use my existing CPU, RAM and HD for now. Would I notice a speed improvement with the 333 over the 266A using my Crucial PC2100? My intention at this point is to stay with the 266A chipset due to the hardware that I currently have but wanted to get more info first. My next full upgrade will naturally be done with better memory and something beyond an XP2000 but I have no plans yet as to when that will happen.
This is what I have to use:
XP1700
512 of PC2100
Maxtor ATA100 7200RPM drive.
Various non-speed related parts.. CD, CDRW, etc.
Thanks,
