upgrade latitude j650 hdd

i'm wondering if its possible to upgrade the hdd on my latitude j650. it has a 20gb now which is a little too loud. i havent upgraded any notebook components before and was wondering if its a pnp deal like upgrading the hdd on a desktop.

It is pretty straight forward. If its not obvious where the HDD is on your current machine, then download the Dell service manual for it. Basically you just take the old one out, put the new on in and treat it like a desktop drive. Partition, format, install Windows, reinstall drivers, etc etc. Or you can just image your old drive onto the new one, bingo
