I actually have a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ on the cpu with the 2-120mm fans on it, I am just not familiar with overclocking so I have not messed with it. I know the basics of overclocking and how to navigate the BIOS, just never really tried to OC it. If someone would not mind pointing me in the right direction I would be willing to listen 😉

Any difference in the 212 EVO and the 212+ ??? There is no need to change to an EVO for better OCing is there? Should be good?

There isn't enough of a difference between the 212 Plus and the EVO to justify a new purchase. The 212 Plus will work just fine.

To overclock that CPU is simple:

Set RAM to manual and set the divider to 1333 speeds
Set CPU to manual and set FSB to 240
Reboot
CPU should be @ 3.36GHz
Test with Prime95 with temp monitoring software running
Let Prime95 run for 30 minutes at least, making sure temps stay in safe range and it doesn't error out on any core
Bump FSB up 2Mhz at a time if you want to try for higher overclocks
Stress test each time and back off if you get any errors or temps are too high
Once you settle on an overclock, let Prime95 run for several hours error-free
