Upgrade help on Compaq presario 4550 computer!

It is possible to even upgrade with a new motherboard in the Presario cases that I bought from Compaq? Whats the form factor? Micro ATX?? Would appreciate any help, Thanks!

The Presaario 4550 is a K6-2 system and the power supply is proprietary AT, not ATX. IFRC, the board is, too. If your connectors run in a straight line across the back, it is not standard. Micro-ATX and ATX offer the same backplane layout, just different dimmesions on the board.

This is one of the few times I will bash compaq, that model sucked beyond sucking.

Broke all the time, 48meg max mem, hand cutting mini case, bitchy zip drive, cdroms had read problems, mainboards died at random, ......
