System specs in sig.

Would prefer to stay ATI.

Have big PSU.

Options:

Grab another 4890 and CF

Wait till Nvidia card out and hope for 5 series price drops and buy a 5970 when they drop in price in 6 months.

what do you guys think?

The 4890 still runs pretty much every game available at max settings (at least mine does). I have a toilet you can flush some money down if you want.

yeah it does alright in all games i play except crysis, and i used to be a hardcore FPS gamer(UT 99, Rainbow 6 original and rouge spear) so i tend to notice any slowdowns, having a LCD now not a CRT pisses me off to but you cant even buy a CRT now. Anyways i want somehting that can maintain close to 45FPS in crysis with 4x AA at 1080p, my current setup will do about 30, and drop below 25 at times, this is too slow.

Yeah i might just do that, can always run it with no AA and lower setting till i upgrade next year. And i noticed the 5970 rapes everything in crysis so it should be able to play anything that comes out for a long time. Guess i will hope Nvidia's new chip lowers ATI prices.

HD5870 would be great for Eyefinity (and idle power savings) but other than that HD4890 is pretty nice IMO.
