upgrade gpu GTX 660

I want to upgrade my gpu GTX 660 Gigabyte Windforce OC.
The cpu i have is Intel I7 920 - stock / psu Corsair 650W / 1920 x 1080
I really don't know what to get. Should i go for GTX 770 ? R9 280X ?
About gaming, i play mmorpg, racing, FPS, adventure...
What would you recommend ?

Maybe wait until next generation to upgrade. The 660 is not really that slow if you can hold out.

What is your budget anyways? I mean if its 500 dollars/euros/pounds/rubels, etc... got for AMD 290 or Nvidia 780

If you are impartial, R9 290. If you lean towards Nvidia, GTX 780.
