upgrade from XP-90c

What would be a nice upgrade from XP-90c? Or should I save my money for now and upgrade my cpu to 4800+ from 4400+? Worth it? Or both? I got about 700 to burn.
 
You are already in the top percentile of aircooling. Most of the "better" coolers actually don't get much cooler but just are quieter.

If you have money to burn, send it to me and I'll see that it gets put to good use. 😉

Keep your cooling and CPU and overclock it!! My 4200+ is at 2.6ghz on the stock AMD heatsink, you aren't gonna have any problems with an XP-90c

The problem is my motherboard, not that good for overclocking.
 
I'd go with the XP-120 rather than the SI if you have to do anything. But I'd sooner buy some shares of an Index fund with it. Unless you're rollilng in it, I wouldn't spend one cent that really didn't need to be spent.

the 9500 may give you a few C better, but not much. i dont think its worth the hassel. Btw, if you do upgrade, I will be more than happy to take that XP90C off your hands 😉
 
get a scythe ninja, between those two you said 9500, fatality is just a higher speed 7700Cu so not worth it
 
Yeah, the fatality is just a modded 7700 and it's HUGE. 9500 or Ninja Plus.

Then again, you really don't need to replace the xp90c. What fan are you using with it? You might think of replacing that instead.
