Upgrade from AMD 6400+ BE to Phenom 9600 Black Edition?

Is this a worthy upgrade? I've been reading the benchmarks, it seems that if the Phenom 9600 can be clocked to 2.6Ghz, then it will stand a chance beating the 6400+ in games and other regular programs.

So is this a worthy upgrade or should I just keep my 6400+BE?
