Upgrade from 9600XT

I am upgrading from a 9600XT 128Mb AGP video card. My processor is an Athlon64 3000+. I was just wondering if any of the wise had any advice on what I should upgrade to? And does anyone know if there is a point at which my system will become constrained by my processor?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

or X800/6800NU if you want to spend $200. i would say get the X800 for $185 i saw on newegg.

If you plan on keeping the card for a while, 6800GT @ Ultra speeds for $290 should serve you well. Otherwise you could wait 2 months for new cards to come out and these cards to drop a bit more in price. However, I dont think $290 for 6800GT is that much and I doubt it'll drop below $200 within 2 months. Otherwise X800 or 6600GT for now. The reason why I'd probably pick up a 6800GT is to make it your last AGP upgrade. Then later you can not worry about cpu bottlenecking and get a dual-core and new pcie graphics card. With your cpu, even G70 and R520 cards should be fine though. But I doubt you wanan spend $500 on them?
