From 2.53 533 Intel P4/MSI 845-E Max; 2gb ram; 4 WD 80gb HD's, etc.

Looking at the following, all from Newegg or ZipZoom:

Antec 900 mid-tower case with 3 120mm fans $130.
200mm Big Boy Fan for top vent from performance-pc $30.00
PSU = Seasonic S12; $138.00
Gigabite GA-965-S3 $105. (supports quad as well)
Intel E6600 $235.00
Video = either Radeon X1950Xt $230. or MSI 8600 GTS $190.00 or PNY 8800GTS $277.00
2 of Seagate 320GB SATA Cuda's $180.
2 GB G Skill 240 pin DDR 800 (PC 6400) $140.
Lite-On 20x DVD +R $36.
LiteON CD RW $24.00
Floppy of multi card reader (can't find a reliable one) $10.00
Creative SB X-FI Xtreme Audigy 7.1 PCI $54.00

NOTE: Newegg has on sale a new Gigabyte DS3 (no quad??) with 7600GT video card for $230., saving about $100.00
Don't like the CoolerMaster cases (they seem to all come with PSU??). Also want 2 optical drives, just in case. Don't need SLI at all; No overclocking; Need reliability and decent speed for regular apps and recording audio and videos; Do not game at all.

Please tear this apart! Don't want to spend any more, though.

Have 21" Samsung LCD; wireless keyboard/mouse; D-Link 7 port powered USB HUB; Klipsch ProMedia 4.1"s; Wireless network.

What kinda Power Supply are you rockin?

You could grab an e4300 and Overclock it to save some dough

I would probably go for the 8800GTS of all those cards there. Or if you can wait til mid May with R600 hits the streets and see what prices and performance of cards looks like then. Other wise looks like a great lil system.
