Saw the Rampage BE back in stock and am contemplating moving to a hexcore for my quadfire setup. What say you?

"Meh"

Waste of money and effort, for what PCIe lanes? Surely not processor perf in gaming since the x6 is slower in just about everything except BF4 and you've got Mantle for that...

PCIe lanes mainly. I am not sure how well crossfire will perform with the inherent latency of the plx chips.

I can't imagine it will be a lot, but I haven't seen a review with AMDs new crossfire tech over PLX.

With previous gens over the bridge it hasn't accounted for much at all 1-5%...

Is your 4770k a dud or decent?

I have an above average 4770K

My water blocks are not coming in until the end of the month so I can't even OC and compare to available benchmarks of 4930X quadfires without blowing out my eardrums :whiste:

Canceled my FrozenCPU backorder for the EK blocks and ordered 4 Koolance blocks from Performance-PCS. My blocks just shipped :)
