Upgrade for friend

My friend has an AMD K6-2 450 Mhz cpu running in his machine. I can get an Intel Slot mobo for $35 and have a P3 500 Mhz laying around. Would it be worth the $35 for the board to upgrad his performance?

For a future upgrade ability on it, yes. Can get a slotket for a Celeron or something down the road, if it's possible to do it with that mobo. Even if there is no ability to do what I said, I would.
