You still don't know what I mean?

Look, if you want a heatsink that is actually going to do the job on an i7/i5 overclocked you need to step up to something more than "value". I would argue that the Megahalem has more value than anything priced lower considering it's performance.

Howard for someone whose a uber lifer like you...

how could u post this in this section and not mine in cases and cooling?

:\

What is your budget, and range of OC you wish to terminate on.
From there i can help you pick out something a bit more budget sense.

Jesus, broaden your horizons a bit.

aigomorla, I'm looking to spend less than $40, maybe $50 CAD.

Whatever, I never recommend trying to save money on cooling. I could name coolers more expensive that do less too.

howard your gonna run into a problem with newegg products tho.

Reason is i dont think they have any of the new revisions for lga1156.

Just how high did u intend on running your oc?

Like ball park number and vcore voltage.

Howard follow this thread as its asking the same question you are:

Howard, newegg.ca is overpriced compared to www.ncix.com, its not awesome like the american newegg :/

The megahalem is available on ncix btw (http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=39...re=Prolimatech), although the vendetta2/s1283 (same shit diff name) are plenty good for much less money. You can also buy a thermalright ultra 120 and a bolt through kit for 1156/whatevr for less than $10 for the kit and the performance is about the same as the megahalem. Thermalright and OCZ have bolt-thru kits for various sockets.

When I had placed the order, Newegg.ca had a 10% off sale on everything, and had pretty good pricing on the SSD, CPU, etc.

EDIT: Actually, the pricing is better on Newegg.ca even before the sale.

the secret to ncix is that they hold weekly specials all week with amazing prices and they pricematch, so you can beat any price from newegg or www.directcanada.com. Between the sale prices and the pricematch they can't be beat.
