Upgrade/downgrade or Even Trade???

Currently have a Radeon X850XT PCIe video card. Been having a few minor "issues" with it in my new mobo...nothing drastic, just some minor lag and slight freezing during games. Anyway, I kept hearing here how great the EVGA GeForce 7600 KO was, so I was going to order one because it's in my price range. But, is it worth it to get rid of the Radeon for? Or should I save my money for a while and get something better like a 7900 or X18/1900?

what's your CPU? how much RAM do you have? those will also play huge figures in the cause of framelag

The differences will probably not be not be big. How big exactly is difficult to say because there are no head-head comparisons. The KO version is only very slightly faster over the normal 7600gt.
The Oblivion benchmark is quite biased towards ATI cards and the x850xt is only a little bit faster - http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2746&p=7

They are very equal cards. The only real reason to upgrade to the 7600GT is SM 3.0. Save your money for DX10 cards, its a much better Idea.

I own both x850xt and the 7600GT KO

x850xt kicks arse in oblivion or anything tha thas to do vertext/D3D

7600GT KO kicks arse in Open Gl much much better, but not as great in oblivion on apples vs apples settings.

3.6 P4 Prescott with 1 GB RAM installed. New PSU and HDD.
