Upgrade dilemma

hey everybody, im new to these forums but im pretty good with computers and tech.

im going to be upgrading my pc pretty soon here once i get enough money but i have one question.

i was thinking of getting a new mobo, an opteron 144 (socket 939) and overclock it, and a radeon x1950XT video card.

now i got to thinking that maybe a 144 wouldnt be fast enough and bottleneck the x1950xt, but i dont have enough money to get a better cpu.

what i was thinking of doing instead was getting a dual core 939 cpu along with a geforce 7900GS and then just getting another 7900GS in a few weeks.

so, what are your opinions, will an overclocked opty 144 be good enough for an x1950xt or should i just wait and get 2x7900gs?
