Upgrade CPU or video card?

This is my current situation:

Athlon XP 2100+
1GB PC2700DDR @ 333Mhz
Nvidia Geforce4 4400Ti

What would make for a better upgrade? An ATI 9800Pro 128MB or an Athlon XP 3200 (333Mhz)
Basically I want it for Doom3/Half-life 2 so I'm guessing the video card, but I'd like some opinions. I wish I could do both but right now I'm sorta broke so it's one or the other. Thanks!

i think the video card would be more noticeable as an upgrade in your situation
unless you just wanna upgrade the cpu now, then upgrade the vid card when doom3/hl2 come out

cpu for sure.

EDIT: depending on what you are planning to get... if its less than an A64 then get a vid card. but your cpu will be a huge bottleneck on it.

Depends on the game.

example,
UT2004: CPU
Battlefield Vietnam: Video Card

I think in most cases video card will be most important.

Is there an Athlon 3200+ / 333?
I thought the 3200+ was only 400 FSB?

333fsb only goes up to 3000+ which they slipped in there after the 2800+ which are both barton versions and the 2700+ is the t-bred b

i agree though on your game analogy
