its reality. current i5/i7 cpus already beat the AMD cpus and Sandy Bridge will be slightly faster clock for clock plus come clocked at faster speeds for the same price. but go ahead and make that minuscule upgrade to AMD over your current Core 2 quad.

back it up with proof, not your opinion, send me some links.

links for what? Sandy Bridge? surely you already know that current i5/i7 cpus are faster than AMD so do you think Sand Bridge is slower? lol

perhaps you should do a little research on your own and find out. everybody that has been following Sandy Bridge knows its slightly faster clock for clock than current i5/i7 cpus and comes clock higher for the same price. and it uses less power too than current i5/i7 cpus.

for gaming the i5 is BETTER, uses less power and overclock MUCH better. so to be clear, for not much more money the i5 750 and now 760 is the better cpu for gaming. Sandy Bridge will come clocked at 3.3 for the same price as the current i5 760 so do the math.

Like I said, I wont believe it until I see proof from multiple sources.

have you not looked at the price list? the 3.3 2500K will be $216 and thats a FACT. even if Sandy Bridge was no faster clock for clock than current i5 cpus it would be the superior cpu for the money. thats not hard to figure out...

okay i believe you, but will they be 1156? when are they coming?
they will be out in a week and on the new socket 1155. mobos should be similar in price to current 1156 mobos. again Sandy Bridge will be slightly faster clock for clock, clocked higher, use less power, support faster memory compared to current i5 cpus for the same price. and those current i5 cpus are already faster than AMD.

but think about it, amd will be forced to lower their prices, so the 1090t is superior to the i5 750, bam a 1090t for under 200 that is better than them.

what is your obsession with this "promised" land of sandy bridge?
That’s it, the thread is done. Ignoring repeated moderator warnings and having an attitude problem to those trying to help you won’t win you any favors.

Also, system building threads go into General Hardware, not in the video forum.
