I currently have these SHURE E2C. I love them; they are only a few weeks old. Unfortunately, I find my self lusting after these UE-5C.

I am a semi-audio nut so I figure I will be satisfied with the UE-5C. I have read reviews and opinions all over the net and I believe this will make me the happiest. I just hate not being able to audition these seeing that these are custom molded to each ear. Thus biggest downer is that these will have zero resale value and all sales are final after the earphones are made. Now I am stuck trying to talk my self into it and attempting to justify purchasing these. LOL...

So the reason of this post... have you ever been in a similar situation...

What are you using these things with? You got a big, high end receiver at the house?

They'd have to induce orgasm for me to spend anymore than $30 on them. $99 is too ridiculous. You've gone plaid when you start paying $550!

I was just going to laugh if you were getting these for an iPOD or some other device that is mainly used with lossy music formats.

Still, that's a ton of money for headphones. I think you'd be hard pressed to find many people on here that would spend that money. Heck, I'd be hard pressed to find anyone I know willing to spend that...and I used to work in the entertainment business and radio for years.
