Upgrade ASUS A8V Deluxe to rev1006 BIOS?

Anyone have positive feedback on the 1006 BIOS available on the ASUS site? Currently running 1003.006, which is what the mobo shipped with. No real stability issues at present, although have had trouble running Doom 3 (jittering/stuttering) although I think I've worked these issues out (turning off VSYNC and tweaking various in-game settings). However, my 2-2-2-5 RAM is running at 2-3-2-5 on auto settings - could be a DDR voltage issue, might this be fixed by the 1006 BIOS (rather than manually adjusting memory timings/voltage).
