I am looking to upgrade my desktop computer and want expert advice :)

What components I need:
1. Intel CPU (i5 series)
2. H67 Mobo (yes - no overclocking)
3. DDR3 RAM
4. PSU

Special Needs:
1. MOBO should have at least 4 SATA slots (preferably 6)
2. MOBO should have at least 4 slots for RAM
3. On-board Sound/Graphics/LAN (no GPU need)
4. 8 GB or more DDR3 RAM (4x2GB or 3x3GB or 2x4GB)

Why/Where I use computer
1. PC never switched off
2. Photoshop - heavy use
3. Occasional movies (blue ray/normal)
4. Occasional gaming
5. I live in Mumbai/India

Please suggest
1. Best configuration (CPU/Mobo/RAM/PSU) for the prices
2. Price of the configuration (along with the shop/site name)

Budget 30K

Google says 30K rupee = 600 USD. Does indeed sound like an i5 build, but I don't think you can fit in an SSD.

Can't really do that for Mumbai, India. People here mostly know U.S, Canadian and U.K shops. Best I can do is base recommendations on pricing in those countries.

CPU: Generally, i5-2400 is the sweet spot for non overclockable i5 CPUs.

RAM: 2x4GB, it's better than 4x2GB and 3x3GB doesn't even exist. For this platform, make sure it's 1333MHz and 1.5V [or lower]. I'd buy a well known brand. G.Skill, Corsair, Mushkin, A-DATA, Samsung and such.

Mobo: will provide sound, LAN and graphics connectivity, while the graphics itself is located on the CPU. I'm sure you can do your own research with respect to which H67 motherboards available in your location fill your other requirements. If you have further questions about specific models then you can post them here.

You won't really be able to do gaming with the integrated GPU, not if you play some ancient games or simply play at ultra low settings and resolutions. HD movies will play fine.

PSU: This build will not consume much power at all, but decent and affordable power supplies start at the ~400W mark so go with that. Buy a reputable manufacturer or brand, e.g. Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, Antec, Enermax, among others. If you can't find these at a decent price, ask whether a product you found is good.

Do you already have a hard disk and a case?
