Looking for a bit of advice. I've been running an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ on a DFI Lanparty Nf3 250m, with an Nvidea GeForce 6200 video card for a few years now, and have liked it. I've been running Windows 7 now for some time and the system really lags. The 2g memory limit is killing me.

With computer systems I don't like to be on the cutting edge, year old tech is fine for me. What is out there at a very reasonable price that will preform well. I don't want to dump $$$ into upgrading the system, but I do want some performance. No gaming, just internet and some photo work. No preference on processors Intel or Amd are both fine with me.

Is there a good all in one MB that would perform well for me?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?ItemList=Combo.250053

that combo should do well enough. alternatively, there are boards from other manufacturers as well which might be able to unlock the CPU if that one cant (by unlock, i mean turn it into a tri or quad core). for sub $200, and then $60 for 4GB of ram, thats a damn good deal. just pick your flavor of graphics, or use the onboard, and you are good to go

Great advice, thanks. It's been too long since I really looked into what's out there. I'm used to overclocking, had no idea you could unlock the processor to tri or quad, I have a lot of reading to do...
