I have an ASUS A7V running a T-bird 900 with 768mb of RAM. Here's the problem, my computer won't shutdown - if I shutdown it just reboots. I think it's the mboard, so I'm going to upgrade. I've been out of the scene for a few months, so I'm soliciting advice. What motherboard should I look at? Should I do anything about the processor?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks!

I just ordered an epox 8hka+ to replace my ASUS A7V. The board is one of the best on the market today. However, if you do get, you are going to have to replace that 768megs of RAM... The ASUS A7V uses SDRAM while almost every new board is going to use DDR. Just something to think about...
