My current build is listed in my sig. I wanna upgrade my system, with as little money as possible. I probably don't need an entirely new rig, maybe just replace a few components. Currently I'm able to play medium settings at full resolution on my monitor on most games. My goal would be to be able to max out settings on the following games (and others of the like):

Call of Duty 4
Left 4 Dead
Fallout 3
Crysis (maybe not highest setting, but definetely 2nd highest)
Dead Space

Any ideas on what I should be looking at? I'm definetly trying to get bank for buck here, only have maybe a few hundred dollars to throw around.

Thanks!

graphic card is the only thing you need here. spend as much money on a graphic card as you can, for bang for buck. look at sites like slickdeals.net or fatwallet for deals. go to anandtech for sale section and buy used parts for best bang for buck.

honestly, you're computer should be fine. people typically think i'm lying, but i have a Q6600 cpu, 8800 GTS, and 2GB OCZ ram, and i play every game i have on highest settings minus anti-aliasing. some of those games include bioshock, far cry 2, lost planet, half life 2, crysis (yes, crysis at max), dead space, fallout 3, mass effect, and even elderscrolls oblivion. some people might say i'm insane and must be dealing with tons of lag, but i promise you i get zero lag on all the above listed games as long as i don't cut on anti-aliasing. i even multitask, it's often that i alt+tab out and use firefox, aim, jet audio, and whatever other prog i might have randomly running. also, none of my hardware is overclocked whatsoever.
