Upgrade advice needed for CPU.

My current configuration is
i5-3570k + Asus P8Z77 M Pro MoBo.
I'm looking to upgrade it and looking for some advice.
Is 6700k worth upgrading, would I see a considerable speed up? Should I wait for kaby Lake?
I'm a gamer and game developer.
Please suggest a CPU + MoBo Combo.
I'm looking for white build.

Just exploit what you have by overclocking and save money.

Otherwise invest in Kaby Lake when it gets released in January (7700k), if you can tolerate the wait and have the funds.

This is just my opinion on sensible options based in the info you have provided, you'll have plenty of other 'opinions'.

Might be worth elaborating on your usage and expectation / requirement of the PC.

What's better curved or flat. I want 35 inch. With curved I'm getting 2k with 75Hz or 1080p with 144Hz. Resolution or refresh rate? So confusing.

The worthwhile thing to do is overclock your CPU like the other person said. Use your money to get a high-grade cooler like a Noctua D15.

Wait for Zen to hit so Intel has an incentive to lower prices.

I have a G-Sync monitor with this same panel and it is AWESOME.

As far as the CPU, Newegg has a Core i7 6700K for $299 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&cm_sp=Homepage_BS-_-P3_19-117-559-_-11262016) and a Z170 board for $75 after $15 MIR.

I'd just hop on these deals and call it a day. Kaby Lake will be better for sure, but probably not worth the extra money if it comes priced at $350-ish.

Agreed with above, start with a decent OC attempt, and go from there. Z77 and IB is good for that.

I would just get a good CPU cooler, and OC until Zen and Kabylake come out. If you buy a good CPU, then you won't need a gaming CPU upgrade again for the better part of a decade.

If you want to go with a 6700k, that's a good choice. The 7700k basically has no ipc gains, so if you OC the 6700k, it's the same level of performance.

Wait for ZEN and choose between an 8Core 16T ZEN or get 6-8Core Intel so you will code games for more than 4 Cores and do us a favor

Since you CPU does not have hyper threading, a move to 6700k or 7700k would net you about 20% IPC gain and another 25% or so from hyper threading in games/apps that can take advantage of it Your call if it is worth it. If you want to upgrade to more than 4 cores, you could wait for Zen or wait even longer for HEDT Skylake or the rumoured mainstream coffee lake hex core or of course get Broadwell E now. Personally, I am not expecting Zen to be the game changer that some are predicting, but it should offer competitive performance at a good price, Unfortunately BW-E offers little improvement over has well E, due to minimal IPC gains and mediocre overclocking. I expect Skylaks E to be better on both counts but is about a year away. Zen could be formally released in January, but reasonable availability at best a couple of months after that.
