Upgrade a router

I've got an old 802.11b router that I use with my two home computers and a DSL modem and I was wondering if I should upgrade to one of the newer 802.11g ones even though I'm using them wired. Is there any advantages to the newer routers when using wires to make the network connections? Thanks.

Usually (but not always) newer routers have better hardware specs (faster chips and larger memory). Enterprises upgrade their network gear for this reason, but for home use, you wont' see much improvement, if there's any.

I would say no...the only reason to move from a working fine B router to a G router is if you use wireless/need the speed boost.
