I have:

2400+
A7V266-E
512 Samsung pc2100
9500 pro.

I have:

Upgrade fever.

Considering the Epox 8rda+. My only concern is gaming performance. I think my ram will run at 166 fsb or more. UT2003 looks so good at high detail, I want to be able to use some AA and AF too. Think I'd see much performance gain with a new chipset?

Thanks.

There are improvements, but they are only really noticeable when you can crank up your RAM speeds. Depending on what OC you are getting now, you'll probably see the bigger improvement based upon better OCing options. The 2400+ will be unlocked on an nforce2, and you'll be able to lock your AGP bus and have more control over your dividers and mem ratios.

Thanks for the replies. I am hoping for a big improvement from the overclocking abilities of the NF2. My A7V266-E doesn't have a 5/1 divider so I can't raise my fsb very high at all.

The difficulty right now is finding an Epox 8RDA+. That's the mb I'm considering, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere. I love my Asus but I'm thinking of going Epox this time to save some money. Also, I see less threads with people complaining about their Epox.

I've spent most of the day looking for one, they flat out aren't available right now.

Newegg's supposed to get some in on the 5th, though they are profiteering some, $130+ for the same board many other reputable dealers are selling for $110-$115 shipped.

Check this thread for some background on the trials of getting this board, it also has a link to a thread here in mobos by Insane3D with a lot of useful information.
