upgradable haswell ultrabook

Which haswell ultabooks can be upgraded with ram / ssd later on? I know of the Zenbook UX32VD, but alas, not haswell.

Ideally, what i am looking for is this;
- high res (1080p or higher, higher is better)
- no larger than 15" screen size,
- Haswell processor
and availability to upgrade the ram / ssd.
My Budget is about $1500, and would like to get the best bang for buck by upgrading the ram and SSD myself.

Do any of you know of such a computer, or am i needlessly trying in vein and should just resign myself to the fact that i will have to be happy with dishing out $2500 for 8gigs of ram and a 256HDD?

Would it be better to rather stick with a non haswell, thereby opening up my options, and bumping up the ram as much as possible?

If you want to upgrade those components then maybe you should not be looking for an ultrabook.

On slickdeals there is a ASUS Zenbook UX31A Core i5 3317U 13.3" IPS 1080p, 4GB 128GB SSD, Win 7 $699 + Free Shipping

It falls jsut short of all your needs but you seriosuly gotta ask yourself... can you make due with 4GB instead of 8? Can you make due with 128GB instead of 256? Can you make due with ivb instead of haswell, because the price is so much better if you can. Can this machine get you by for a couple years? Because if it can you'll be able to get yourself a haswell notebook with 8GB of RAM and 256GB for $699 next christmas. Then you will have two notebooks for your $1500.

Valid point on not looking for an ultrabook. I read that some of them can be upgraded, partially at least, and thought that seeing as they charge more than a premium for more storage space, might as well diy.

Your points on the haswell/older specs made me think, very insightful. The whole, want a machine that lasts for years on end, when in reality, it would be cheaper just to replace more frequently.

Some how i have not discovered slickdeals yet, awesome website, thanks!

I'll have a look and see, but i suspect i will go for the Asus that you mentioned. Thanks for the helpful post.
