Upgradable Game PC for less than 1k?

I'm looking for everything, including an LCD monitor.
For games like Final Fantasy online, Civ 4, Sims 2 etc.
Forget the graphics programs, it'll mostly be for games.

Is this a decent case?-

I was thinking of having a small IDE drive for the system software and a 2nd large
SATA one for applications. Good idea or should they both be SATA or?

Any thoughts on this DVD drive?
