Upgradability for Notebook GPU?

I am getting very close to buying myself a laptop for Christmas.
Leaning towards the highest end Dell XPS M1330, but with a few concerns, one of
them being the GPU. The best offering on the M1330 is the 8400M GS. While my
primary need is a highly portable laptop for serious business undertakings, I would
also like have some gaming capabilities in reserve. Which brings me to the question of interest: What is the upgradability of notebook GPU's?
I would be more likely to purchase this laptop if the option to replace the GPU, if i was not satisified with performance, existed

Any one out there got any knowledge / experience of this situation?

I made a meager attempt to find data sheets for the 8400M, and failed. My thinking was, if they used the same slot type, and had the same dimensions, and cooling was adequate, success might be achieved.

Almost nonexistant. Many laptops have the GPU soldered to the board to save space. And even for the cases where it isn't soldered, it is a nonstandard part, specifically designed for that notebook's shape. For the few notebooks that use MXM standard cards, they would probably need a BIOS update to work with a new MXM card (if you could find one).

Also, size wise, the M1330 is small, so you can't expect to be able to put something more powerful into it as it is unable to dissipate that much heat. I highly doubt that the M1330 is capable of upgrading graphics cards.
