upgarded the driver and it when from 4mb to 32mb. very strange.

I have an onboard video card with 4 mb, and when i upgarded the driver, the MB when up to 32mb. is this normal?
 
Yes, that's common behaviour for the Intel Extreme series - they borrow from main RAM. 4MB is the minimum (and also may be dedicated onboard memory) and it steals up to that 32MB of system RAM.
