Updating to XP

I currently have ME on my computer. I got a copy of XP through my college for free and wanted to know the best way to install it. My Me has some errors and some viruses on it. I found a couple websites on how to instll it but wanted some advice on the best way to do it.

Thanks

I would suggest copying your vital docs and progs and doing a clean install. ME was a horrible OS and if your current hardware can support it you will like XP.

simple... just save all the stuff you need like music/pics or w/e and then say good bye to ME... shut off your comp, place your xp cd in and restart the ocmputer, and you will be prompt to boot from cd or something and then follow the simple instructions and boom you got your slef xp... note that you might have to enter you bios and change the boot order so the pc will know to boot the cd from the drive
