Updating to Win2000 sp4

I have a labtop running win2000 sp1 and I wanted to update to sp4. After getting a ways through the installation there is an error that says "Setup cannot copy the file wbemtest.exe" and it wants me to locate the file. Does anyone know what this file is and how I can fix this?

(Edit)Well the computer froze and I had to restart. Now it loops at the win2000 screen. I dont have the windows 2000 disks either! WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!

Try rebooting, hit F8 and select Last Known Good Configuration.

Personally I don't think it will work, so you'll probably have to find, borrow, beg for an Win2K disk and try running a repair.
Preferably one with SP4 slipstreamed onto it.

I borrowed a windows 2000 disk from a friend and tried doing a system repair using this guide:http://www.windowsreinstall.com/windows2000/emergencymanualrepairno/index.htm but Im still having the problem. Is there anymore I can do? Is there a way to get the cd key out of this system and then reinstall windows 2000 with my friends cd? I got all of my data out using an ubuntu live cd and a usb drive but I really want this computer to keep running 2000.

Windows 2000 does not seem to be treating you well. Why not just switch to Ubuntu? You might try running a chkconfig on your harddrive. You can run it by booting to the Windows 2000 CD and choosing Recovery Console.
