Updating the "What's new in this version" on App Store

Hi. On the Apple App Store, when you update an existing app, you can (I assume it's optional) add the description of the new or delta content that development added, which required the update.

I need to know how many characters are allowed in that field/text box. For example, Apple allows 4k characters for the description of an app; I'm looking for the same info on the number of characters allowed in the "What's new in this version" section.

I've searched the iTunes Distribution Guide, iTunes Connect Developer guide and cannot find the info, thus I'm asking you all.

I'm pretty sure all of the fields are 4000 bytes. Try it and find out.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I am unable to try it out; I'm proposing a strategy this morning and the number of characters will make or break my proposal

I appreciate your input and I agree that it should be 4k as well.
