updating the ds3L with E400

I know that the revision F8a will work fine with that processor, but what happen if I bought a card that has an older Bios with my e8400..can I still make it work and then do the update, or the system won´t boot at all?

thanks

I asked gigabyte and they said I would need a supported processor to update the bios. I borrowed one from a work PC to flash it yesterday. Was a bit of a pain. I used a flash drive and FAT32 didn't work. It would see the drive, but no file. After trying a few other things with no luck I tried FAT and it worked. Then QFlash gave me a Checksum ID Error on the F8a bios. I had to re-download and copy it to the flash drive and try it again before it worked. I assume i'll have to do this all again once the real F8 comes out.
